EVB is a blessing for me. It built my confidence because knowledge is power. Also gave me a gift of my accountability partners, people I can rely on. Coach Jenn didn’t teach us as a lecturer, she taught us as a bestie, welcomed and encouraged us. Joining this bootcamp helped me achieve 4 things:
1. I learnt two soft skills (resilience and adaptability): At the beginning of the bootcamp, I wasn’t very active due to unforeseen circumstances and I almost decided not to continue. But, I said to myself, there’s no harm in trying and my accountability partners were nowhere to be seen. I just had to keep showing up and I was able to do most of the projects alone. I’m happy I didn’t give excuses not to continue the bootcamp.
2. Since I worked on my projects alone and got feedback from Coach Jenn, it helped build my confidence level and I started to believe more in my capabilities (I’m someone that always doubts myself).
3. The boot camp also opened my eyes to other areas where I’m lacking. After joining the Interview Prep. Session, I’ve also written down some other things I need to work on.
4. I also became accustomed to going the extra mile and asking questions.
